
Cristina Marks

Cristina Marks is Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Center for Rising Generations at The Aspen Institute. She previously served as Chief of Staff at Education Strategy Group (ESG), where she advanced organizational strategy and supported cross-functional leadership to strengthen impact.
Cristina brings more than a decade of experience in education strategy, policy, and inclusive leadership. Prior to ESG, she was a Partner at TNTP, leading equity-focused consulting efforts and supporting states and districts in developing comprehensive academic strategies. Earlier in her career at Achieve, she contributed to national efforts supporting the implementation of college- and career-ready standards. She began her career as a middle school teacher in Florida.
Cristina holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Policy from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in History, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida. A proud Washingtonian, she lives in Washington, DC, with her husband and two children.
